iShield is a unique Internet Explorer plug-in that blocks images that contain nudity from being displayed in your browser. It analyzes the image before it is shown and uses criteria like skin tone, texture and more to determine whether the image is likely to contain nudity. Based on your blocking level and settings it will then display a placeholder instead of the original image. In addition, iShield also block pornographic web sites from being accessed at all. It offers a whitelist/blacklist to customize the site blocking. The program is easy to use and configure and will start blocking immediately. It also provides a passive mode, that will not block access, however maintain a log of offensive images or sites that were accessed.

ZeroAds enables you to block Internet ads, adware ads, pop-ups, and bad cookies from reaching your computer. The program runs as a dashboard along the top of your screen (can be minimized to the tray) that displays statistics on blocked items and provides access to configuration options. It also displays activity and connection statistics for your Internet connection. The ad blocking worked well during our review, but popup blocking performed extremely poor when we tested it at popuptest.com. The cookie blocking feature blocked some cookies, but not all and cannot be customized. Overall, a very slick interface with good ad blocking features, but it performed well below expectations in most other aspects. ZeroAds supports Netscape, IE and Opera browsers.
