| File Shredder is a small utility that will completelyerase the contents of sensitive files and foldersthat you specify. Normal file deletion only removes a file`s directory entry, but leaves the data containedin the file on your disk drive. File Shredder completelyoverwrites the contents of a file and then deletesit. To shred files and folders simply drag themto the File Shredder icon in the same way you wouldthe Recycle Bin. You can also shred files by right-clickingon them from the MS Windows Explorer and selectingthe Send To item on the popup context menu. FileShredder has two file wiping methods available,a standard two-pass file clearing procedure andan NSA approved seven-pass file erasure method.
