| Spy Sweeper safely detects and removes more traces of spyware including Trojans, adware, keyloggers and system monitoring tools (e.g. Gator, Xupiter, Backorifice and others). The definition files are updated frequently to include the latest threats - just click a button inside the program to download the latest definition updates. If items are found during a scan, the program offers a short description, as well as recommendations on how to protect yourself and your PC. Since removing some spyware components can cause some depending programs to stop working, Spy Sweeper offers the option to quarantine (or disable) spyware, preventing the spy from functioning, but still allowing you access to the program that came bundled with the component. Additional features include an option to exclude selected programs from the scan, lock your browser home page, scheduled background scanning and more.
