| SolidShare (formerly:WithGate) provides firewall security and Internet connection sharing (modem sharing, cable-modem sharing, ISDN sharing, or ADSL) on your LAN. This allows you to connect anyone on the network to the Internet with only one ISP account and one modem. After installing SolidShare, anyone on the local network will be able to transparently and securely access the Internet. The built-in firewall can prevent resource exposure and defend from an attack. SolidShare supports most applications and protocols like DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Telnet, SMTP, POP3, NNTP, ping, traceroute, MSN Game Zone, Battle.net, Westwood online, FTP, RealPlayer, QuickTime, ICQ, Napster, and IRC. The configuration wizards make it easy to set up, so you can have the program running in minutes. SolidShare also performs dial on demand, and automatically hangs up when the idle time reaches the maximum value.
