| FamilyMail strives to be an easy to use email program for the (severely) digitally challenged. It represents a 10 year setback in email technology and is limited to the most basic features of email - reading and sending. It assumes that the user is unable to operate a mouse and therefore does not offer any buttons to reply or navigate messages, but uses keyboard shortcuts instead. It basically acts as a slideshow of mail messages and attached pictures, displayed in large font, and an option to reply. To limit spam, it allows you to only accept email messages from a list of specified senders (all others will be delete without notice). The initial setup requires the help of a computer users, and should not be attempted by the person actually using the software. FamilyMail is based on a fairly good idea, however we find it to be poorly implemented with many obvious lacks in both usability as well as user-friendliness.
