| Urfin is a Windows NT service, that periodically searches all the specified folders in Windows LAN computers or domains and collects found information about files in its database. Using any browser users can access Urfin, just like a regular Web site and enter search criteria for files they need (e.g. *.mp3, *.gif, or even using regular expressions like *notep*.exe) and get results in thei browser in form of URL's pointing to these files. The browser based (password protected) administration area allows to customize a variety of settings, define file masks, index restrictions, logging and other details of the file scanning process. You can connect to the search engine from any machine on the network.
