PhoTags is a new and unique software solution for adding and inserting text messages to digital JPEG photos. You can insert messages, captions, keywords, frames and borders into your JPEG images and then choose to have them displayed or hidden. Unlike other applications that merge any text that is displayed on the image when saved as a JPEG and then can never be removed, PhoTags patent pending technology adds a virtual layer that never changes the image itself. In a nutshell, this means that you can add text, frames etc to all your favorite images, without ruining them. Any text added and saved is stored inside the image and can be altered anytime with the PhoTags editor. You can also choose to print your images with or without the text and additional enhancements. In addition, the program also acts as a photo organizer - you can assign categories, additional (hidden) comments and other details to the picture, which can be searched from within Windows, without the need to setup any database. PhoTags enhanced photos can be sent via e-mail, uploaded to the Net or downloaded to a Pocket PC and viewed by any device with JPEG viewing capability, even if the recipient does not have a copy of PhoTags. Additional features include batch processing, slide show, full support and indexing of EXIF information, email optimizer (to reduce the size of the image), print wizard and more. If you own a digital camera, you must check this program out!

RAW PhotoDesk is an image viewer and editor for RAW image files, used by upscale digital cameras. It allows you to view popular RAW formats (including CR2 of EOS-20D), make adjustments to white balance, RGB, brightness, hue and saturation settings and then develop them to JPG, JPEG 2000, TIF, PSD or BMP format. It can also batch process multiple raw files and apply specified adjustments to all of them, and in addition add image frames and watermarks. You can also create photo galleries from your photos, using the built-in web gallery tool. It can also be used to launch online maps, that show you the geographical location for images that have the geo data added. | Rota 0.7 - lossless JPG rotation, Subcategory: Digital Camera Tools
| Price:
Free | OS:
98/NT/ME/2000 | Size:
694 KB | Version:
0.7 |
Rotate your digital photos without loss of quality. To achieve large compression ratios (about 1/5 to 1/50), the JPEG format uses a lossy compression method. Therefore once an image has been saved (compressed) to JPEG, it is not possible to restore the original image quality and every time you change and save the file, more quality is lost due to recompresssion. Rotating a JPEG image usually takes 3 steps: de-compress JPEG to bitmap, rotate bitmap, re-compress bitmap to JPEG. This re-compression process causes additional loss of image quality. Loss-less JPEG Rotation doesn t de-compress a JPEG image completely and moves intermediate data from-to rotate 90/180/270 degrees position. It doesn t cause loss of image quality and your picture can be rotated without compromise.
