Encrypted RunAs allows administrators to let users run restricted programs without having to make them members of the Power Users or Administrator groups.
It creates encrypted shortcuts that contain all the information required to run the program. All the user has to do is click the shortcut icon and the program is launched with the assigned rights. The same could be accomplished by using the Run As command, however it would require the user to enter the administrator password - with Encrypted RunAs however the user does not need any password and is not given any additional rights, except the ones needed to run the particular program. As an additional security factor, the program uses a CRC fingerprint, to make sure that the program launched is indeed the one that it was intended for, and also verifies the account.
